Xronia Polla (Χρόνια Πολλά, pronounced Chronia Polla) is a Greek saying which translates to "Many Years!" The saying, which can be heard at weddings, birthdays, name days, and most moments of celebration in Greece, inspired Andreas to write the song, Xronia Polla. In essence, Xronia Polla is an expression of love. This music composition is a variation on Greek New Year's carols.

ah sol!

While still placing strong em-phasis on rhythm character- istic of electronic music, ah sol! simultaneously adds a softness and a blunt hon- esty unique to Andreas' style of music production.

Andreas loved music, all kinds of music, and surrounded himself with it. From guitar to trumpet to synthesizer, dj’ing and singing, his music studies were solid and his journey rich. He was composing electronic music before he went out and acquired the formal tools he wanted to do it better. You have a lot of music inside you, I told him once, when he played some of his first compositions for me and asked me what kind of feel I was getting from them. His prose and poetry were often the first drafts for his songs. His writings are full of references to music and song. He had fun sharing his music, blending styles, including references to Greek pop or folk music.

We are sharing Andreas’ music and poetry for all of you to enjoy.

Timely sunlight

Warms my neck

Warms my mind

To the awe

Of its own

Curiosity

Stumbling upon

Ancient orchards

Hidden landscapes

The soul beneath

The word

I read on

Rolling hills

Obstinate stones

A cold solid wisdom

Warmed by the same sun

Industrial silhouettes

Rise out of

Ineffable stocky old historical

Stones

Crumbling

Creating

Unbroken lineage

They keep shining

By the light

Of grandpa sun

An old comforting

Emanation of experience

Reminding the stones

Reminding our feet

Ancient wisdom lives on

Shining through eyes

On skin

Love profound

Heating shelters through

The fire of our hearts

Timely sunlight

Sky Blue 2.jfif

Ghosts of Uptown, by Andreas Robbins, revels in the chaos of New York City, giving voice to the energies, of self and of place, which we leave behind, and which are deeply personal.

-I am a bad education

-I am overpriced

-the lost adopted white boy

raised in every exotic

jungle you have ever seen

in the movies

-A naïve thief, impenetrable niece,

a fief of land

owed to some

hedgefund manager

in the future

love is like a butterfly

it lands on your shoulder when

you least expect it and flutters away

before you even notice it was there

Allow delight

Resist resist

Exist exist

No more fight

Smell the flowers

Inside outside insight out of sight insight

Feel her power be her power

Taste the rain

Before the light

NOW

NOW enthralls us within melod-ic winds both ethereal and cos-mic, as well as grounded and candid. The album captures the grind of life as well as moments when we encounter the unex-pected, the unfamiliar; when we are challenged to go deep-er.

Burn poem burn

Burn poem burn

And never look back turn

Back turned backburned

Hot scolded scalding shadow

Keep moving the crossing to

There remains a chain

Disclaimer exclaim

Explain he exclaimed of brittle composure

Composed of mundane sun

Day one of our foray into

Adrenaline pump go

Crossover dribble move

On

Your mind is a lawn

And you are a pawn

Into which it has spawned

A tree of two by two to

Pattern the same sense is to

Build up your fences

Defend these from those needs

Makes you think you’re a rock

But you’re weak at the knees

Feet of porcelain fleeting as flees

In the breeze gone

Lightening energy far and strong

Infinite motion to and from

There and back back turned

Backburned

Burn poem burn
